The stallion stretched out slowly, rolling his shoulders, the stiffness in one the faint reminder of his time in another land, where he had been a family man, with two beautiful daughters, and a mate, he'd cherished. Ah, that was the time. He snorted softly, dismissing such thoughts though as he walked along the edge of one pool, eyeing the others curiously, relaxing in the tranquillity of the place. He trotted forward, tossing back his thick white forelock, before letting in coil down his face, before laying down in the shallows of one pool, his sore body itching for a way to relax. He'd definitely not been getting enough sleep lately, though it was hardly his fault. He was trying to get reacquainted with these lands, the lands he remembered from a life time ago when he'd been just a foal. Oh, indeed, it was oh so very long ago. He smiled faintly, looking down at his reflection, he was definitely not that young anymore. He was already pushing 9, once winter came anyways. So, okay, not exactly pushing 9 but he was beginning to really feel those years adding on. Much more then he'd like to admit. He looked around silently, standing again, restlessness keeping him moving, "Isn't there . . . anything to do worthwhile around here?" He asked himself, exasperated. He couldn't just stay in one place, reminiscing was not what he wanted to do . . . not even a little bit.

Zeria moved through the pools, staying to the edges and taking the land when possible. She wasn't sure where she was going, she wasn't even sure what she was doing. She was still very new to this land, and knew nothing about it. She didn't know how deep the pools got, or what was lurking in them. It's not that she was afraid of the water, she just didn't know what to expect.
The weather was warm, with a breeze blowing. The water probably would feel nice. She slowed to a walk and pondered. She had no home here, and she knew no one. She sighed and shook her head. This really sucked. She stopped at the edge of a pool and sniffed the water. The water would probably feel nice, so what the heck? She made her way slowly in, feeling with her hooves what was in it. She was in to her knees before she finally realized with a start that she was not alone in this pool. She was stuck now. She didn't know if the equid had noticed her or not, and if she tried to make a hasty retreat, the noise of water splashing would surely catch its attention. She stood stock still, and had no idea what she would do.

The water soothed around his limbs as he allowed himself to sink down, the relish the feel of the water as it coasted over his coat, his eyes slipping closed slightly. He hadn't realized how sore or tense he was until the water soaked the tenseness away, leaving just the old phantom ache in his left shoulder. It was a left over ache from a war between he and a handful of wolves that had tried to take his beloved Res from him. Oh, he still could see her wide eyed luck as she stared at him, terrified of him after seeing his behavior to the wolves. So terrified. He'd taken a step forward before she'd screamed when the wolves began to circle her, and as always, he'd been there, been there to take care of her. He was always there for her. And she had been there for him, watching over him after he fainted from the loss of energy of the wolf attack. There when he woke up, refusing to leave him. They had been in it together from the beginning. And when they'd joined together, became a true family, the casanova had been delighted. Extremely so. He shook his head, refusing to remember such wonderful times with the lady of his dreams, instead focusing on the here and now. His head tilting to the side, studying his reflection. His chocolate hide looked shades darker with the water clinging to it, the ends of his mane, and his tail a mess of damp ivory.
Then hooves pulled him away from all pondering. Of his mate, his children, him, and his green gaze tilted up, focusing on the body of the mare who'd moved into the pool he was using. chocolate body, flaxen mane. Quite similar to him actually. She appeared to have noticed him then, looking frozen in the water. He rose slightly, shaking the water off his pelt, his shoulder with it's phantom pains protesting before he began to walk towards her, a kind smile instantly on his muzzle, as he dipped his head low in greeting, "My Lady, hello." He said, his tone both polite and alluring, a trait he'd mastered long ago, "I am Ciro, simply Ciro. Might I inquire the name of a mare that must surely be one of the angel's own?" He questioned, a pleasing smile on his features, as he waited for a name, a response. Any response, as long as it wasn't her high tailing it out of there, of course.
