Sing us a song Dany! "About what?" My chords were struck. Anything, Dany, please! A laugh, the giggling of younger souls, and the low beginnings of a sweet melody...
A harsh cough forces out the salty liquid and grains of sand that are trapped in my lungs and throat and the flash of memory is gone. Painfully my pale lids slide back and I take in my surroundings from ground level, not interested in standing just yet. What happened? The groggy thought forms in my hazy mind as I realize quickly that I have no idea how I came to be in this foreign land. Lifting my head away from the chilled sands I realize it is winter in these lands as well and the thought comforts me; surely I am not too far from home? Finally, after several minutes of gathering my remaining strength (I have never felt so weak before) I stand on shaky legs.
Lavender-blue eyes peer about cautiously as audits attentively swivel to locate the sources of the sounds filtering in. The rustling of the tall grasses surviving the winter months here, the sound of water behind me gently lapping the shore, and finally the lack of equine sounds nearby. Loneliness seeps into my conscious thought and my hooves slide forward, the need to find others pushing away the thoughts of "where am I?" There is nothing on this little island and dawn is approaching but I keep moving knowing that if I do not I will not find answers or other equines.
OOC: Complete, open for anyone. This is my first post with her, so it's kind of crappy, sorry! =(

| Exploring, wandering, hoping to find something or someone. I had only been here for a short while, but already the lonelyness was getting to me. After having a fairly large herd and the rest of the Dark Region to look on, you begin to take company for granted. And then it all gets turned to ashes under your hooves. Never. Ever. Take anything for granted. A dry ha escapes from between my blackened lips as my just as dark legs disturb the sand that occupied the lands of the Isle. Everything felt extremely odd, especially the fact that I haven't found any other equines yet. A small flicker of hope flared up in my chest when I thought of the possiblity of being the Dark Beta, it wasn't my old title, but it would be somewhere to call home and to regain my regin over others. Picking up my pace from a trot to a long, ground swallowing lope I ate up the beach, sending salt water and sand flying in every direction as my hooves hit the ground. The scent of another touched my nares and caused my run to halt. There was another equine somewhere near here. Normally, I wouldn't be so willing to meet someone new, I would avoid them at all costs. But the lonelyness chewed at my insides and caused me to turn in the other's direction. When the sandy colored mare came in sight I let out a low trumpet. Announcing my arrival. -complete- OOC-Ehh, I'm trying to get back in his character and it kinda sucks. I sorry<3 "Speech..."

Regardless of rank and power I was still left with no one but myself all alone, wandering this new world as if this was my first time away from home. A heavy sigh escaped my chest as the expansion and repression of air spreading through my ribs left a slight pain aching causing the sigh to be cut off. My ribs had healed for the most part. Just when it gets really cold like this day was turning out to be, is when things start to act up and cause a constant reminder of the Avalanche's tumbling snow and utter confusion afterwards. Shaking away the slight agitation I pressed further away from the evergreen valley toward the faint scent of other equine. It has been too long since I've seen the face of another, from what all I can remember. Leaving the land I had hoped to call my new home I drifted away from climbing further inland. Instead, I headed toward the shore where the wind was always blowing and the calls of the gulls managed to turn into a pleasant melody. Soothing and calm. Also, perhaps it would be warmer to soak up the morning rays with my dark pelt contrasting against the pale sands.
Who knows, maybe I wasn't the only one with the same idea. I hope not anyway. Solitude was not the way to go any longer. Taking in the salty breeze I closed my eyes for a moment before opening again to take a look out across the water. Catching sight of a sand bridge leading to a little island I decided to let my feet wander there. Curiosity and just for the sake of exploring was what lead me upon the even paler of sands. Nothing much covered the island except for dried up grass and two forms similar to myself. Pausing a distance a way I watched as the darker figure moved toward the sandy-toned one. A mare and a stallion no doubt about that. My inner energy pulled me closer to them, but my feet refused to move until I knew what they were up to. Noting that there was no immediate dangers I decided to take my stroll in their direction. Not much time had passed by until I was close enough to be seen and heard. A light smile tugged at the corners of my mouth. My voice calmly reaching out. "Greetings to you both."

I could easily hear the sound of another approaching in my direction and despite my confusion and mild anxiety I felt strangely calm at the sight of the dark beast coming my way. Has he spotted me? A loud trumpet call soon answers that question and I offer the coming stallion a flash of a smile my features locked into a mask of indifference with a sprinkling of interest. My intent is not to offend the stranger, no, I have always been instructed to present myself in this manner and in my confusion I find it hard to abandon my old mannerisms. As he draws closer I release a low call in response and simply stand idle wondering if he can answer the questions swirling about in my mind.
As he gains the ground near me I offer another small smile and politely dip my head as my voice flies from my lips. ”Hello.” and nothing more, my lips firmly closed once more because of my upbringing. In my former kingdom mares were introduced to others through either a male or an elder female but as I stand waiting for him to speak I realize there is no one here to introduce me to him.
Shifting uncomfortably my lips part and I nearly speak once more but the voice of another startles me and I quickly glance in the sound’s direction. ”Greetings to you both.” Glancing at the first stranger to the second I note that they are similar in appearance especially when compared to my pale coat, Are all stallions colored so here? Equines in my former home from the royal family all look as I do, including the same lavender-blue eyes. I pull myself away from the thoughts of home and dip my head to the stranger before coaxing myself to introduce myself. ”Hello to you as well. I am Daenerys, how are you known?”

Ever since I can remember I've always had my manners in check. Treat others as you'd like to be treated was the saying that always seemed to stick whenever coming across a newcomer and debating on how to start connections. Now, if my politeness were to be not mirrored and tossed over to receiving rude remarks then whoever they may be would be easily offered a taste of their own words. Generally I'm a nice guy, nothing much phases me, but just plodding around in an awful mood all the time and passing it onto others, you just need a kick to the head to set you straight. Same goes for high-pitched giddiness. Before making my way to the two I rolled my eyes and sighed out of contentment from finding others.
Now that I was in front of the two I silently observed them, as they did the same with me. The other stallion had not spoken yet, which my guess was he hadn't met the mare before either. Glancing over at him a simple nod was given, but then my mocha eyes reached out toward the mare's lavender-blue ones. Interesting, never seen such colored iris' before. Pretty. My small smile remained as I dipped my head in greeting to the mare as well. Keeping quiet as her voice was the first to speak out. ”Hello to you as well. I am Daenerys, how are you known?” Letting her words sink in I paused for a moment waiting to see if the first stallion who's color was very similar to my own was going to speak up or not. Not wanting to leave her unanswered I allowed my calming voice to be heard once again. "It's a pleasure to meet you Daenerys, I'm known as Night Hawk of no place just yet."

Patience has never been a problem for me due to the behavioral issues my brother displays; he has a rather hot temper. I am extremely grateful for the gift of patience today as the silence from the other stallion has slowly begun to grate on my nerves though I show no outward signs of my frustration. The second stranger speaks then and I give him a smile, delighted that he has decided to speak. His voice has a rather pleasant almost soothing quality to it and I am quick to reply though no such eagerness is evident in my voice. ”As it is to meet you, Night Hawk.” Glancing to the other stallion I decide that enough is enough and I angle my body more toward Night Hawk to show the other that I do not care for his actions or rather lack of actions.
Allowing a few moments to pass by in a serene silence I pose a question, choosing to ignore my mild discomfort at the entire situation and how different it is than anything I have experienced in my homelands. ”I do not understand why you give yourself a title though you have none?” My tone conveys sincerity in my confusion, referring to his phrase ”I’m known as Night Hawk of no place just yet.” In my former home, if you lack a title you simply say your name and leave it at that, but he is kind thus far and I do not wish to anger him so I politely inquired to clear away the confusion.

When it comes to mannerisms such as being polite and attentive when in conversation, my patience was better kept within the company of the ladies. Though, I was here to impress no one. Take me for who I am and not what I claim to be if my boldness speaks before my tongue could tame it. So with each passing moment I waited for the other stallion to say or do something. To be honest, he was making me very uncomfortable just standing there, though, I've shown no outward expression of such. Every now and then my gaze would go from Daenerys to the stranger. Her soft smile broke my pattern just as her words lulled the silence away. ”As it is to meet you, Night Hawk.” I couldn't help but return the smile. My stance remained just like when I first stopped by to meet the two, but when the dunalino mare turned her frame toward me, I angled myself more toward her in response.
Daenerys would be the one to speak with for the time being, if the stranger wants, he could join us again at any time. Though, for however long it would take him to decide I would make sure to keep an eye and ear on him at all times. She is not to be harmed while in my presence and if he would even have a passing thought of such, I would make sure his hide goes for a little swim right quick. ”I do not understand why you give yourself a title though you have none?” Her question, caused me to stop and think for a moment. I had almost forgotten how I introduced myself as my thoughts traveled quickly towards the other stallion who's silence was starting to annoy me. That's was how every stallion from what I could remember in my younger years, so it didn't even pass my mind, even how silly it sounds without an official title. A light chuckle escapes. "I guess you could say that I was practicing for when a land becomes mine..I'm waiting for a little birdie or a whisper along the breeze to tell me if I've acquired the land. I did not mean to cause confusion...Where might you be from, or are you new within these lands as well?"

I did not mean to cause confusion...Where might you be from, or are you new within these lands as well?" I chuckle softly as his longer speech, a small smile continuing to play on my lips though the chuckle has died away. I mull over his speech for a moment or two, wondering how the customs went in these lands if this stallion must wait to find out if he has succeeded in taking a land. ”I do not understand my Lord, I am not from these lands and my kingdom’s customs appear to be far different from yours.”
I smile sweetly at him my lavender-blue eyes expressing my sincere apologies at not understanding, but I do not feel an idiot; I am new and that provides me with some leeway on not understanding local customs just yet. Glancing toward the ocean behind me for a moment I inquire softly, ”I do not know how I arrived here exactly, only that a great wave came to where my brother and I were in exile from our kingdom and took me away.” Unsure why I revealed so much of myself to him I take a small step away embarrassment heating my cheeks though no color shows. Very nicely done, Daenerys… I chastise myself most severely as my brother would have done had he heard me reveal that we are exiled royalty.

Hearing Daenerys light chuckle eased my discomfort. Her small smile easing me more, slowly forgetting about the stranger that was still within our presence. ”I do not understand my Lord, I am not from these lands and my kingdom’s customs appear to be far different from yours.” Her questionable concern caused my lips to lightly curl upward. It was not a bother to me at all trying to explain things, as I completely understand as each herd has their own dynamics and you only know such customs from which you were raised with. I've moved to several locations and had to relearn the ways of each land, which takes some getting used to. "From what I can tell about these lands of Tuathia, one such stallion is able to claim a piece of land within his alignment. However, the higher ranks must be decided by some higher power or fought for. I've inquired interest upon the Neutral Alpha's lands, until I receive some sort of news about getting the land and title or not I shall stay a wanderer of sorts." I paused to allow for my words to sink in. "What sort of customs were you familiar with?"
As Daenerys turned to look out across the ocean, the other stallion must have had something else come up. In that time he simply nodded his head, turned, and left the pale sands of this tiny island. Much to my relief at least he was gone an no longer would I have to watch out for him. A muffled sigh escaped out of relief, causing my nerves to relax fully. Now, I was able to put my full attention on the dunalino mare. As she turns to look back at me my little smile found it's way back again. ”I do not know how I arrived here exactly, only that a great wave came to where my brother and I were in exile from our kingdom and took me away.” I remained silent as I listened to the mare speak, toward the end of her words though she took a step back which perked my curiosity. Deciding not to ask such a question about the whole exile part in slight fear of causing a negative emotion or revisit an unpleasant memory. I decided to hopefully make things a little better by saying where I had come from. "I sort of know how you feel on the whole natural disaster causing life changing events..I too came from somewhere, but instead of water, there was snow. Lots and lots of snow falling down the mountain side, but that's all I can remember."
