Her name, it was lost to the moon and stars she was born under. No one cared anymore. A year in this place and not a soul had noticed her. She just wandered, like the lost soul she was. Her memories drifted to home a lot. Drifted to the brother she left behind and the kind mare she called mother. When she did think of them, tears would stream down her ebony silken cheeks. The only two creatures that had ever cared for her, she was banished from ever seeing again. Was she not allowed to be happy at all?
Istari Luna walked slowly through the Basin area. The trees had come back to the beautiful hue of green. Spring had returned. She felt another tear slid down her silken cheek, for it was spring last year when she arrived. She had seen other horses, but they have paid her no mind It was eating her alive that no one seemed to notice her. Had she come to another dark place? Had she spent a year in a place where she would never know happiness? Or was she just cursed?
All the questions swam in her mind, as she reached the edge of the waterline. Her soft ebony pelt shown with a few scars here and there. Scars given to her by her former lead stallion, cause she refused him. She still could feel the pain lashing through her, her memories of it that vivid. She looked at her reflection in the water, her tresses dripping over half her face. She could not see beauty anymore. All she could see, would see, was a torture soul with no redemption. She dropped to her front knees, laying down slowly, her eyes on the reflection of the mare looking back at her. Her heart was broken, she barely could see anything past the lost and tortured creature staring back at her. Would she ever find redemption?

A few days had passed since the birth of his son, Xanthos De Vreis, and the pallid stallion could find no greater contentment in its realization. Despite the hardships his herd had faced with the loss of two of its members, it was soothed by his birth and both parents were able to relish in it. At least, for a time. As always, Lysander’s duties as Alpha preceded him and he had no choice but to temporarily abandon the Vale in order to venture out. No matter his desires to watch over his son and his mother, his obligation to fulfill his initial goals were not something he could bring himself to ignore. Especially when it ultimately had to do with the safety of his family, herd, and lands… the legacy he hoped to pass on to his children after he worked so hard to attain it. The only way to do that was to build up his herd, to increase numbers and strength and insure its survival for the coming years – and that was exactly what he intended to do this day. It had been far too long since the last time a new member had been welcomed into the Vale, with the exception of Eos, and it was something that sat discontentedly with the young Alpha. It meant that the declining of his herd weakened its structure in a way it could ill afford. It was in this fact that brought him to the Basin, a large body of water in which attracted lots of new comers on their way to the Glade and beyond; a crucial pass on their journey in which Lysander would be able to take advantage of.
Following the lake’s shoreline, he peered out into the abyssal spans of water reflecting back, like a looking-glass, the land it was embedded in. He paused for a brief moment to acknowledge the sheer size of the land, the massive peaks the jutted up like jagged teeth to the south and the steep skree slopes to the east and west. The trees came as a vicious contrast in the terrain as the land flattened out to give way to the lake, tall spruce and aspen mixed together to form a dense crop lining the waters’ edge. Turning his attention away from the lake he pressed on, rounding the bend to reveal a less rocky part of the shore… and an ominous black form in the distance, its outline evident of his kind. He observed it for some time as he made his way towards it leisurely, making it out to be a fairly tall obsidian hued mare staring intently at the water – as if she saw something she greatly disliked in which he could not see. The closer he got to her he could make out unsightly disruptions in the otherwise pure color of his hide, a variety of familiar scars in which he carried with him as well. It undoubtedly amplified his interest in to how she acquired such, as she was clearly not a production of man as he had been. Tilting his head he approached her slowly, his footfalls heavy to publicize his entrance. Once a few feet away from her he stopped and scrutinized her from a closer proximity, admitting her natural splendor despite the flaws she bore from her clearly unharmonious existence. “You appear to be lost.”

She barely heard the other approach. She did not even know he was there till he spoke. Am I lost? You have no idea. She could only think to herself. She wanted to look up from that reflection, the creature that was staring back at her would not let her. She stared into its eyes, seeing the pain and agony that lay there. She could feel, still, every hoof lash, every moment of pain that over took her body so long ago. Her mind was breaking, snapping in twain, and she laid there, only watching her reflection.
"I have been lost for a very long time." Her voice finally came to her, after a few moments. She stared at the water for a bit more. The pain that was inside her was reverberating through her eyes. Finally, Luna pulled her sight from the pool and looked up at the stallion who had come to her. His pelt was like fallen snow. He had his fair share of scars, and his eyes seemed sincere with his words. Luna quickly stood, looking a tad on the thin side. Her depression was taking its toll on her. She looked at him, those eyes. Haunting and in so much pain. It was the little things she could not hide.
"I have been lost since my father sent me to hell on earth. I am....Istari Luna. Yes, that is what she called me. My mother, but not my mother. She took me in, when no one else would." She said, her voice shaky, she felt she was telling more than she should. She felt her poles shake, she wanted to lay back down and never get up again. Luna looked back towards the water. She wanted to lay down by the water, looked at the creature that was in so much pain.
"Who are you?"
