Well then, sir, you’re handsome. Tamu’s compliment put a smile on his muzzle, which made him all the more handsome. He noticed her half-brother, Alaric, watching them closely and then stand up and move closer, telling them not to mind him. How could Rieger flirt with Tamu if her brother was there? This was going to be difficult. He wanted to charm her, and convince her to come back to Askath Jungle with him. He wasn’t looking at her as if she were just a piece of meat. He was looking her over so that he could decide if he wanted to try and woo her, make her his mate. He wasn’t a lion that would have many mates, maybe two at most, and he wasn’t about to just mate with a lioness and then vanish. He was a lion that would take care of his mate, or mates, and his offspring. He would be a good father someday, and a good mate to someone. It seems your brother has found some fish in the pond. I do enjoy a good fish now and then, though I’m not sure how tasty they would be in such muddy water, he said, smiling his charming smile.

Then, Tamu mentioned something about having a crush on someone, and his spirits sank a little, but rose again when she said she hadn’t seen him around in a month or two. That meant Rieger could still have a chance with her. She had also mentioned some bird who had shown her that clams and muscles had some good meat. He’d never tried clams or muscles, but wasn’t completely against the idea. He thought for a moment, and then spoke. Well, I’ll leave it up to you. We can stay here and maybe join your brother in some fishing, or we can head off on our own to the watering hole and maybe get to know each other a little better along the way, He said, hoping she would choose the latter of the two options. Though he wouldn’t really care if they stayed around the pond, he really wanted to get her alone, and get to know her better. He would, however, leave the decision up to her, seeing as how she was the lady in the situation. He sat back on his haunches, keeping a weary eye on Alaric, but also looking at Tamu, waiting for her decision.
