Milk and grass, a switch off of milk and grass. He liked the milk better, and that was saying something in his book He laid now in the shade of one of the few spots on the Flats with a tree or two. He wondered where his daddy was? Where Ammitt could have made off to now. Perhaps to find more mares, ones with stronger milk. Rex had no clue, he just waited where he was suppose to, waiting for signs of his father.
It had been a few months since the young colts mother had perished giving birth to him. Every day, the hours ticked away, and he thought of her. Ammitt said she perished cause she was weakened, but why? Perhaps it was giving birth to such a strong son that made her weak. Ammitt tried to keep the young colt strong, but the lack of mares willing to venture into a Darks territory to nurse a young one was few and far between.
For Ventus Rex, that meant few meals of milk and more leaning towards eating grass and berries, stuff that his stomach was not quite ready for. The little colt drew in a deep breath, letting it out slowly as he laid his head to the ground. In truth, he knew, he was a nobody. His mother had come to this land, nothing to show who she was. And now, it was like Ventus himself was a ghost to this world, only seen by Ammitt, who called him student more often than son. The little one let his mind rest, too much to think about and his tummy was rumbling. Stay put till Ammitt returns. He thought to himself. It would make it easier for Ammitt to find him should he remain in one spot. Though, his tummy rumbled at him, he would remain still. Taking a nap in the shade of the trees.
(OOC - I know it has been a few months, sorry. But I figured we could have a little Ammitt Rex time.)
