Where have you gone? Oh King of kings?

Daylight faded long ago, the moon now reigned supreme on this perfectly clear spring night. Alone within the Ruins Denali walks, quiet and slow, barely making a sound. It has been some time since she had laid eyes on Terenas, and with each day that passed she felt she needed him more and more; such an eerily wonderful yet confusing emotion. This night however, her nightmares had returned, and have successfully prevented our dappled beauty from sleeping peacefully. Sighing softly Denali continues, forcing her mind to focus on something other than what she has forsaken.

"I am sorry Isolde..." Denali whispers under the light of the moon as she stops atop one of the Ruins highest points, her long black mane gently blowing in the soft breezes. Her blue eyes tear over as her mind once again shows her their faces; so happy and content they all used to be. Denali does not regret accepting her Kings offer, but this night has proven to be more difficult than any other. She longed anothers presence, anothers touch; she needed it to know she was still alive. Even if only for tonight.

Just then a chorus of sobs come fleeing from the dappled mare as her knees suddenly hit the ground; years of secret torment all tearing through her once again. Denali breaks down further and collapses on her side, her beautiful body now raging with uncontrollable sobbing. You are utterly alone now.... An unknown voice tells her, and silently she believes it to be true. After and hour or two passes and the sobbing subsides, Denali lies still, her eyes finally having run dry. She tries to remember then, those few days she was happy, but they refuse to show her even the smallest of glimpses.
